Photography & Life Update
March 13, 2016Where do I start..? I’ve been away for a bit thanks to college classes and my horrible organization habits which seem to be none lately. Although I haven’t been writing, I’ve been shooting a bit and been working on a couple of stuff which I want you to know about.
I finally made my “Dos Hogares” book and it’s amazing, I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback on it and I’m just happy to have it if you want to see it watch the video below or go to my “Dos Hogares” portfolio.
College Class: Images in Series
This class is very self explanatory, we go trough a series of concept trough the semester so we can build a cohesive series at the end of the class with our concept. Although the process has been really slow, in part because I’ve missed a couple of classes due to being sick, I’m really looking forward to what is up for next.
Below is one of the images I took for the class. Our assignment was to repeat an element in the picture instead of using various images to repeat an element.
Exhibition: Reinterpretaciones
“Reinterpretaciones” was an university exhibition based out of 21 artists with the intention to showcase the work of young students and build a community space for art related individuals. I was lucky enough to be chosen as the face of the invitation and exhibition. The opening night was on the 16th of March and it was pretty packed for an exhibition inside campus and of young upcoming artist.
New Photo Project: Men in Suits
As you may know by now (if you follow me on Instagram or Facebook) I started a new project called “Men in Suits” to explain it shortly Men in Suits is a project inspired by Eric Kim’s work “Suits”, where I wanted to talk about the men that control our world one way or another but at the same time showcasing their vulnerability through photographs. Since it’s still in process there is not much I can say about it, other than this is a way for me to be free with the camera and let my visions flow. If you wish to see how the project is going so far Click Here for the direct link to my portfolio, but I will also be advised that I will be doing periodical updates on the blog until its finished.
That is it for today’s post, I’m trying to build a schedule so I can post here consistently. For now I wish you a fun spring break, keep shooting and I’ll see you soon (Hopefully).
